  Jangan lakukan provokasi semasa hari pengundian - polis

PORT DICKSON, 12 Okt (Bernama) -- Polis mengingatkan penyokong semua calon yang bertanding pada Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) Parlimen Port Dickson agar mematuhi undang-undang dan tidak melakukan sebarang provokasi semasa hari pengundian esok.

Ketua Polis Daerah Port Dickson, Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed memberi amaran bahawa tindakan tegas akan diambil terhadap mana-mana individu yang cuba menimbulkan kekecohan atau ketegangan.

"Pihak polis berada dalam kesiapsiagaan tinggi bagi menghadapi PRK Port Dickson. Semua persiapan merangkumi sumber manusia dan logistik mencukupi dan polis akan membuat pemantauan menyeluruh bagi kawalan keselamatan di pusat pengundian agar berjalan dengan baik," katanya pada sidang media di sini, hari ini.

Beliau berkata 800 anggota polis dari Ibu pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Port Dickson dan seluruh kontinjen Negeri Sembilan diatur gerak untuk bantuan penugasan bagi memastikan kelancaran proses pengundian selain bagi tujuan keselamatan.

Aidi Sham berkata pihaknya juga akan memperketatkan kawalan keselamatan di tiga lokasi panas yang mungkin boleh menimbulkan kekecohan atau ketegangan, di Bukit Pelanduk, Pekan Lukut dan Linggi.

“Kerjasama semua pihak terutama calon dan wakil amat diperlukan bagi mengawal penyokong masing-masing. Orang ramai juga dinasihatkan mematuhi peraturan ditetapkan pihak berkuasa demi menjaga keharmonian dan keamanan di semua pusat mengundi," katanya.

Selain itu, beliau berkata penggunaan dron adalah dilarang sepanjang hari pengundian dan tindakan tegas akan diambil terhadap individu yang didapati menggunakan atau menerbangkan peralatan itu.

Sementara itu, Aidi Sham berkata 48 laporan polis diterima, manakala 141 permohonan permit diluluskan sehingga hari ini.

Kerusi Parlimen itu dikosongkan penyandangnya Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah, 68, pada 12 Sept lepas, bagi membolehkan Ketua Umum PKR Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, yang baru-baru ini menang tanpa bertanding jawatan presiden PKR, bertanding dan kembali ke Dewan Rakyat.

Pada Pilihan Raya Umum ke-14, 9 Mei lepas, Danyal Balagopal memenangi kerusi itu dengan majoriti selesa 17,710 undi mengalahkan calon BN Datuk V.S.Mogan dan Mahfuz Roslan daripada PAS.

Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) menetapkan hari mengundi esok, melibatkan 68,317 pemilih berdaftar yang layak mengundi di 32 pusat pengundian yang akan mula dibuka pada 8 pagi membabitkan 154 saluran.
