PORT DICKSON, 12 Okt (Bernama) -- Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) mengingatkan kesemua tujuh calon yang bertanding pada Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) Parlimen Port Dickson supaya menghentikan  semua aktiviti kempen tepat pukul 11.59 malam ini.

Timbalan Pengerusi Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) Tan Sri Othman Mahmood berkata, selain itu, semua pihak diingatkan bahawa semua bentuk kempen atau aktiviti meraih undi dilarang pada hari pengundian esok.

“Tiada mana-mana pihak boleh merayu undi termasuk di luar pusat mengundi dan melalui saluran media sosial seperti Facebook, Twitter, Instagram dan lain-lain seumpamanya. SPR berharap semua pihak mematuhi undang-undang, peraturan dan etika kempen pilihan raya di PRK esok bagi memastikan proses pilihan raya tidak menganggu ketenteraman awam.

“Sebarang pelanggaran undang-undang yang berkaitan boleh diambil tindakan,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas meninjau persiapan petugas SPR bagi PRK Parlimen Port Dickson di sini, hari ini.

Proses pengundian bagi PRK Parlimen Port Dickson, yang akan berlangsung esok, melibatkan 1,403 petugas SPR. Seramai 68,317 pemilih berdaftar yang layak akan mengundi di 32 pusat pengundian yang akan mula dibuka pukul 8,00 pagi esok membabitkan 154 saluran.

Dalam pada itu, Othman menyarankan agar pengundi di Parlimen Port Dickson membuat semakan maklumat pengundian mereka melalui aplikasi MySPR Semak, portal SPR, menghubungi talian 03-88927018  atau menghantar khidmat pesanan ringkas (SMS) ke 15888 bagi melancarkan proses pengundian esok.

“Pengundi juga dinasihat membawa pengenalan diri yang rasmi dan sah pada hari pengundian serta tidak menyerahkan kad pengenalan mereka kepada pihak lain selain daripada petugas pilihan raya.   

Dalam keadaan cuaca yang tidak menentu sekarang ini pengundi juga dinasihat supaya keluar mengundi pada sebelah pagi kerana kerap hujan di sebelah petang.

“Kita juga ada menyediakan kemudahan perkhidmatan shuttle dan payung untuk memudahkan pengundi,” katanya.

SPR kata Othman juga menyasarkan peratusan pergi mengundi pada PRK Parlimen Port Dickson adalah sekitar 70 peratus dan keputusan pilihan raya kecil itu dijangka diumumkan di Dewan Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson (MPPD) tidak lewat daripada pukul 10 malam.

PRK Port Dickson menyaksikan saingan tujuh penjuru antara calon Pakatan Harapan (PH) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim Anwar dan calon PAS Lt. Kol (B) Mohd Nazari Mokhtar serta lima calon Bebas termasuk bekas Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad dan bekas pembantu peribadi Anwar, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

Kerusi Parlimen Port Dickson dikosongkan penyandangnya Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah, 68, pada 12 Sept lepas, bagi membolehkan Anwar yang baru-baru ini menang tanpa bertanding jawatan Presiden PKR, bertanding dan kembali ke Dewan Rakyat.

Parlimen Port Dickson mempunyai 75,770 pengundi berdaftar yang terdiri daripada 43 peratus pengundi Melayu, Cina (33 peratus), India (22 peratus) dan lain-lain kaum (dua peratus).
