KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 (Bernama) -- Japanese information technology (IT) company Artisan Inc. plans to start its operations in Malaysia this year.

Director and Okinawa Branch Manager Higa Tomoaki said Malaysia would be the first overseas base for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services software developer.

Malaysia has big potential for our business. After establishing our business in Malaysia, we will be eyeing other Southeast Asian markets, he told Bernama in an interview.

Artisan, was one of the companies that made their presentation during the Navigate Kuala Lumpur Seminar, organised by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), last year.

It was part of a series of ASEAN startup pitch events to nurture new industries where entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to meet potential business partners.

Artisan, headquartered in Tokyo, with branches in Okinawa, Shibuya, Osaka and Hiroshima, develops solutions based on Microsoft platform.

The directors were formerly engineers at Microsoft Japan. We provide solutions for a broad range of industries, ranging from automotive to retail and manufacturing, Tomoaki said.

Through the solutions developed by Artisan, he said customer satisfaction could be assessed to determine their emotions and whether they would opt for another company or were planning to rescind the contract.

Artisan is pioneering the world´s next generation solution called EMOROCO that combines Artificial Intelligence with CRM to personalise customers experience with IT, Tomoaki said.

We plan to unroll the Easybox Customer management function in Malaysia, he said, adding that Easybox, which runs on Microsoft Office 365 platform, facilitates a sales force through a paperless application, in which information could be accessed from anywhere with graphical presentation.

Our solutions are running on Microsoft cloud platform and promoting the utilisation of IT by small and medium enterprises, he said.

He said Artisan would also be introducing its flagship bus location monitoring service that could track its real-time locations on a smartphone.

Users are able to locate the bus location in real time, thus will be able to know when the bus is about to arrive. This solution is already deployed in Japan.

We may be working with other entrepreneurs to expand our software and products in Malaysia, he said.
