Malaysian Export Academy Provides Export Education To SMEs
KUALA LUMPUR, (Bernama) -- Established in 2007, the Malaysian Export Academy has come a long way since its early days as the Exporters Club. Residing in its own three storey building in Puchong, Malaysian Export Academy is established to provide trade and export related subjects for the working adults.
"The Malaysian government has the agenda to develop exports among the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), so Malaysian Export Academy hopes to fill in the shortage of export expertise that Malaysia faces by training people, especially fresh graduates," the academy's Chief Executive Officer Prof Dr Abdul Kabur Ibrahim told Bernama in an interview recently.
According to Abdul Kabur, in a survey that they conducted on 100 SMEs in Malaysia, none of the companies have a dedicated export department even for companies who are actually exporting.
